• •La Capranera, translates to “black goat” in Italian, is named for the breed of goats – cilentana nera – that graze in the Cilento National Park near the vineyards. Grab your picnic basket, hiking boots, and let’s go check out some views… and wine! Shhhh what’s that noise? Baaaaaah!!! Those dang goats are in the vineyard again munching on Falanghina! It’s just too delicious!
  • •The grapes are from a 16-year-old vineyard located in the Capaccio-Paestum area of Campania in the province of Salerno that borders the Tyrrhenian Sea.
  • •Falanghina, thought to be an ancient transplant from Greece, takes its name from the Greek word, phalanga, meaning stake or pole, in reference to the Greek method of training vines to single stakes.
