Grapes: Barbera

  • •Barbera is the 3rd most planted grape in Italy. It is found commonly in the northwestern area of Italy known as Piedmont. This area grows a lot of grape and gained Wine Hall of Fame Status for its exceptional Nebbiolo grapes from Barolo and Barbaresco.
  • •The Barbera grape is the middle brother of the area but it is such a great alternative to tasting the region of Piedmont when looking for full bodied reds with some mouth watering structure similar to Nebbiolo.
  • •This wine is a blend of grapes harvested in parcels spread amongst the three communes of Barbaresco, Neive and Alba. Included as the primary source are grapes harvested in the cru “Ca’ Grosso” in Barbaresco. You’re getting great grapes!
