As they sat on the charming terrace, bathed in the warm glow of twilight, two elegant ladies indulged in a bottle of ‘Friandise’. With each sip, their buzz slowly stripped away any pretense of propriety and they soon found themselves flirting with a man at the next table who strongly resembled Zach Galifianakis. The wine tickled their palates like a perfectly timed joke; loaded with quirk and whimsy. Like Zach’s humor, Domaine des Bouzons timeless appeal draws from the Serguier family’s 200 year history making wine in a small estate just outside of Chateauneuf-du-Pape. The Friandise is an untraditional approach to CdR, made using Carbonic Maceration to lift the aromatics for a fresh and lively style.  Emboldened by the liquid-courage now coursing through their veins, the ladies moved to this doppelgänger’s table to press their luck where he soon regaled them with tales of the Roman Empire and the magic of Côtes-du-Rhône reds. In a fog the next morning they swore it was all a dream.
